Exploring the Grand Canyon takes time. Schedule a couple of days to a week if you can. With all of the activities, programs and captivating sights, you will find yourself wanting to stay a while.

Exploring the Grand Canyon also takes energy, here are the options for resting your tired bones and recharge inside the park itself.

Camping is popular; there is a 7-day limit for campsites. Reservations are recommended for Mather, March - December, and Trailer Village all year round. Otherwise it's first come, first served for camping.

Permit required for Backcountry camping ($10 for permit plus $5 per person per day, available from Backcountry Information Center (928-638-7875).
